Richard Mille‘s RM HJ-02 collection, imagined as a truly comprehensive expression of jewelry art, is made up of twelve unique pieces organized around four chromatic realms: pink, violet, blue, and green. Each variation center stages a singular sensorial scenography where material and color mingle intensely.
Here, though, precious stones don’t just play a decorative role. They’re an integral part of the timepiece’s construction. The case, the movement, the dial, and even the clasp come together to form an unparalleled aesthetic composition. Rubies, sapphires, diamonds, emeralds, and Paraíba tourmalines consort with malachite, chrysoprase, and mother-of-pearl in a sequence of textures and glints that bring the ensemble to life. The resulting visual enthrallment is all down to outstanding craftsmanship. Various stone-setting techniques sculpt volumes and guide the flow of light. Each watch flaunts some 1,399 gems and requires several hundred hours to complete.
Richard Mille‘s emblematic tonneau-shaped case takes on more graphic architecture this time round, characterized by facets and broken lines. The in-house CRMT2 caliber reigns at the heart of this Art Deco-inspired composition. Its stone-set white gold mainplate and bridges set off with microblasted, beveled, and rhodium-plated finishes, along with its variable-inertia regulating device, its fast-rotating barrel, and its stone-set gold rotor fully contribute to the fascinating staging of the Dazzling Division’s Blue Ballet, Green Gambit, Violet Variations, and Pink Pursuit.
