H08 SQUELETTE Hermès

H08 SQUELETTE Hermès

SUSPENDED MECHANICS

Subtly openworked, this sporty and contemporary piece transforms technical craftsmanship into a graphic landscape where light, material, and movement interplay within an ethereal design.

The new H08 Squelette, unveiled by Hermès at Watches and Wonders, plays with emptiness, light, and material much as others sculpt silence. True to the sporty spirit of the H08 line, it reveals an ethereal mechanism where every detail seems suspended in space, balancing geometric precision with contemporary sensuality.

Retaining its “circle within a square” silhouette since the collection’s inception, the 39mm-diameter, 11.69mm-thick cushion-shaped case, crafted from microblasted titanium with a black DLC coating and edged with a satin-finished ceramic bezel, alternates between matte textures and polished highlights with understated sophistication. Through the openworked dial, the anthracite bridges and gears form an almost architectural composition where the luminescent numerals appear to float like graphic landmarks in a futuristic urban landscape. Nothing is static. Everything flows, breathes, and interacts with the light in a subtly mastered play of depths. At the heart of this delicate construction beats the H1978S in-house caliber. Developed specifically for this skeletonized version, this automatic movement oscillates at 4hz and delivers approximately 60 hours of power reserve. Visible from both the dial side and the back, its gears become a true aesthetic language, extended by a black oscillating weight whose lines subtly echo those of the case. The satin finishes and interplay of transparency further enhance this impression of graphic lightness.
