ORIGINAL PERSONALITY
Nicknamed “the safe” or, more surprisingly, “the bolt,” this watch is the result of the Le Locle-based brand’s heritage initiative launched four years ago, which has inspired the graphic design of an entire collection.

It was in Milan, capital of Lombardy, a city renowned for its Fashion Week and chosen by LVMH as the venue for its 2026 Watch Week, that Zenith unveiled an “assortment” of Defy models, offering a glimpse of the rich variety of styles and features offered by this collection. This family of watches originated with a 1969 piece nicknamed “the safe” or, more surprisingly, “the bolt” because of the geometry of its silhouette and its robust construction, which the Le Locle-based manufacture revived in 2022. Four years later, the brand is continuing this heritage approach by unveiling a reinterpretation of an iconic model, the Defy Revival A3643.
Like its predecessor from the late 1960s, this new steel model has a strong personality based on three essential graphic codes: a 37mm octagonal case water-resistant to 300m, an angular 14-sided bezel, and a ladder-style bracelet with spaced links.
On the dial side, the Defy Revival A3643 features a clear, silvered, sunburst face that is perfectly legible, dotted with rhodium-plated, faceted hour markers coated with Super-LumiNova® and topped by a trio of central hands indicating the hours, minutes, and seconds. At 4:30, a slanted aperture displays the date in black on a white background. These displays are powered by Zenith‘s Elite 670 caliber, a 4Hz movement that provides a 50-hour power reserve when fully wound.
