LOW-KEY ELEGANCE
The Le Brassus manufacture unveils its first automatic jumping hour watch, an exclusive piece that has everything it takes to become a great classic.

More than a century after the dawning of Art Deco, the trend continues to influence modern-day creations. Timeless style combined with precious materials foster elegant creativity. Audemars Piguet‘s new Neo Frame Jumping Hour is a prime example of this. The design of this watch, inspired by one of the themes of this well-known artistic movement, i.e. streamline, center stages a snazzy vintage look. Its slim 36.4 x 34 x 8.8 mm, rectangular rose gold case stands out with its signature gadroons. Two openings, set off with beveled gold frames, reign on its black PVD-coated dial. The hours are read off in the square aperture, whilst the minutes features in the stylized semi circle one.

This highly-original display of time is made possible thanks to the presence of caliber 7122, an upgrade of the 7121 which nestles inside the Royal Oak Jumbo references. This selfwinding movement, assembled using some 293 components, drives the jumping hour and trailing minutes meticulously over the course of the 52-hour power reserve. The sapphire-crystal back invites to admire the finishes on the visible parts, which include the oscillating weight enhanced with gadroons. What’s more, a shock-absorbing system mechanically prevents hour jumps in case of impact. This resistance is heightened even more through a titanium hour disc and an aluminum minute one. For a perfectly-fitting finish, the Neo Frame Jumping Hour comes complete with a black calfskin strap decorated with a textured pattern, and clasped by a pin buckle.
