STYLE AND PERFORMANCE
The Le Locle watchmaker boosts its collection of elegant sporty-looking watches with these new automatic references boasting attractive time scenographies.

How do you stand out from the crowd in the maze of contemporary watchmaking? Well, two roads seem to pave the way for success. Seeking the exceptional to touch collectors’ hearts or rolling out a simple timepiece, yet one that’s got an up-to-the-minute personality and comes equipped with a high-performing caliber. Tissot opted for the second choice with a wide array of attractive references. One of these, the PR516 is rolled out with new adornments that are still just as enthralling.
Back in the 60s, the Le Locle brand designed the case of one of its watches in a highly-unique style. The 16th model of the 5th waterproof series, aka the 516, was paired with the PR symbol, acronym for Particularly Robust. Ahead of its time with its elegant sporty look, it became a resounding success. Back centerstage in 2024 in a 38 mm diameter, 3 hands-date chronograph version, it proved it was totally in tune with the times and incredibly versatile.
The latest iterations to date flaunting an integrated metal bracelet reinforce this identity even more with their new features. One dressed in black and white plays on contrasts. The other takes on a snazzy dial adorned with gradient-toned blue veering to black. The white Super-LumiNova® on the hour chapter markers and hands ensure data is wonderfully-easy to read. And the immaculate scale running round the fixed bezel heightens the PR516‘s sporty chic. What’s more, both take advantage of the generous power reserve of over three days provided by the Powermatic 80 caliber.
