AN OBSERVATORY OF TIME
The Geneva manufacture pursues its horological exploration with an outstanding creation that comprises more than twenty complications on its two faces.

To celebrate the 270th anniversary of the manufacture, Vacheron Constantin wished to center stage its exceptional artistic métiers with a collection named La Quête (The Quest), featuring single-piece watches. The new Les Cabinotiers Cosmica Duo Grande Complication scripts a fascinating chapter through Caliber 2756-B1, assembled using some 1,003 components. This manual-wind, fine-watchmaking movement, beating at 18,000 vibrations an hour, embraces 24 complications, many of which are astronomical. To ensure they are all displayed clearly, the 47 mm-diameter, 20.20 mm-thick white gold case boasts two dials and is reversible thanks to the presence of articulated lugs and a removable leather strap.

On one dial, the tourbillon nestling at 12 o’clock, the power reserve indicator (60 hours available), the moon phases and age, day and night indicators, as well as sunrise and sunset displays are revealed through judicious openings in a scenography that’s marvelously mechanical. On the other, and among other functions, the second time zone indicating 24 capital cities in an aperture at 6 o’clock and a perpetual calendar reign on a deep blue backdrop. A rotating sky chart of the Northern Hemisphere is combined with sidereal time. The existence of a minute repeater that chimes the hour on demand and the running equation of time exalt the exclusive personality of the Les Cabinotiers Cosmica Duo Grande Complication watch, stamped with the Geneva Seal.
