After a grade 5 titanium version imagined around the signature tonneau-shaped case (40.10 x 48.15 x 13.08 mm) and a Quartz TPT® limited edition, Richard Mille rolls out its RM 17-02 model in two ceramic variations, one in black TZP® combined with red gold, the other in white ATZ® mixed with titanium. And, the result? These choices exalt the timepiece’s one-of-a-kind architecture with its blue PVD- and 5N gold-coated bridges, and its sporty look. Inside a vibrant, colored scenography, a discreet power reserve indicator ticks over at 2 o’clock in an hour chapter made up of numerals boasting striking typography. Another indicator at 4 o’clock states whether the dynamometric crown is at winding, setting or neutral position.
The RM17-02 caliber, known for its reliability and shock resistance, continues to set the pace. This manual-wind movement still delivers 70 hours’ autonomy to the watch, a period during which the hour and minute hands hover over a fascinating skeletonized structure, above all center staging a variable inertia tourbillon and a fast-rotating barrel.
