THE POWER OF METALS
The flagship model of the Le Locle-based brand since 2021 expands the offering of this iconic collection with new metal finishes renowned for their robustness.

With its silhouette borrowed from the legendary style of a Tissot model launched in 1978, the PRX watch has continued to charm since its “return” within the Le Locle brand’s catalog almost five years ago. The use of its famous acronym – P for precision, R for robustness and/or resistance, and X in Roman numerals indicating the number of atmospheres it can withstand when submerged – has been expanded in recent years to become a richly diverse collection. The new PRX Powermatic 80 Titanium, available in two dial colors, and PRX Powermatic 80 Damascus Steel are part of this large family.
This duo, both 38 mm in diameter, is powered by the same self-winding movement, the Powermatic 80, which beats at a frequency of 3Hz, features a Nivachron™ balance spring that is insensitive to the harmful effects of magnetic fields, shocks, and wear, and delivers an impressive power reserve of 80 hours, or just over three days. This powerful caliber drives the hour-minute-second trio in the center and the date displayed at 3 o’clock in black on a white background.
The PRX Powermatic 80 Titanium model features a case and link bracelet made from this deep gray metal, renowned for its strength and lightness, combined with a dial featuring a navy blue or anthracite checkerboard pattern and luminescent silver or golden baton-style hands. The PRX Powermatic 80 Damascus Steel model is crafted from Damascus steel, an alloy that is more robust than that traditionally used in watchmaking, with a surface covered in swirls. These naturally formed arabesques also appear on the dial, creating visual consistency across the entire watch.
