THE WORLD IN MOTION
Ten years on after it was first introduced, the travel watch from the brand based in Les Breuleux is back centerstage for a 100-piece limited edition that’s just as amazing.

In 1931, the Genevan watchmaker Louis Cottier pulled off a feat by creating the world-time complication. Nearly a century on, Richard Mille offers us a spectacular interpretation of this through its RM 63-02 Automatic Winding Worldtimer. This watch, revealed in 2015, and designed for today’s demanding nomads, combines mechanical virtuosity and ease of use. All the wearer needs to do is turn the bidirectional rotating bezel and position the city wished for at 12 o’clock so that the other 23 time zones adjust instantly. The two-toned edging helps differentiate between day and night. This year, the timepiece that’s got a flair for traveling showcases a new personality that’s luminous, sporty, and precious. Stylistic choices play a lead role in this outcome. This version’s 47 mm-diameter case now blends titanium with red gold. Burgundy and pink hues, combined with white, add a dash of peps.
All the data, including the oversized date, are masterfully driven by the CRMA4 caliber. This in-house-developed selfwinding movement (50-hour power reserve) leverages high-tech assets that promote sturdiness, performance, and accuracy, such as the variable inertia balance wheel and fast-rotating barrel. There’s also the typical function selector that allows the wearer to set the hour and minute hands, wind the device and, as such, reduces the risk inherent to fiddling with the crown. Optimized user-friendliness reigns in this piece imagined for uncompromising practicality.
