Hublot has been involved in the soccer world since 2006 when it became team sponsor then official watch for the world’s most prestigious competitions. To date, the Nyon watchmaker has been the timekeeper for over 800 matches. For the 10th year in a row as the UEFA Champions League partner, the renowned brand celebrates the event with a Classic Fusion Chronograph UEFA Champions League Titanium series. This real collector’s piece stands out with its gradient-hued blue dial and the presence of a logo shaped like the UCL ball on the counter at 3 o’clock. This sporty scenography takes pride of place in a 42 mm-diameter, 11.9 mm-thick satin-brushed and polished titanium case, waterproof to depths of 50 meters. It’s worn on a black rubber and blue calfskin strap decorated with the league’s well-known stars. Every watch is presented in a custom wooden case which also includes a miniature replica of the famous trophy.
The time features are driven by the HUB1153 caliber. This selfwinding movement, assembled using some 269 components, also short-cycle time measurements and the date displayed in an aperture at 6 o’clock to life. Its 48-hour power reserve offers the wearer enough autonomy to enjoy match days and daily life. The sapphire-crystal back invites to admire the stylized openworked oscillating weight, one of Hublot’s esthetic watchmaking signatures.
