MONOCHROME BUT NOT MONOTONE
Following on from its Essential Grey, the Nyon watchmaker rolls out two timepieces based on the same principle, boasting timeless elegance, and only available via its online sales space.
How can you make sure your wrist accessory matches your style? Well, Hublot invites to discover its snazzy solution with its Classic Fusion Essential Taupe watches. These two models, in two different sizes, 42 and 45 mm diameters, feature a case and bezel crafted in satin-brushed and polished grade 5 titanium, along with a dial adorned with a delicate taupe hue, which veers from gray to brown based on the light. This range of shades is somewhat reminiscent of the Color of the Year winner, Mocha Mousse, which Pantone describes as a “mellow brown that conjures feelings of comfort and warmth”. An hour chapter made up solely of markers gives pride of place to this color. The pared-down time data scenography is incredibly understated. What’s more, to take the Essential collection’s specific monochrome theme even further, each version is accompanied by a matching rubber and fabric strap, attached by a folding buckle clasp.
These Classic Fusion Essential Taupe pieces are driven by selfwinding movements that offer them at least 48 hours of power reserve. The HUB1112 caliber, assembled using some 185 components, energizes the hour and minute hands, as well as the date set at 3 o’clock on the larger of the two iterations. The 177 parts inside the HUB1100 bring the same features to life in the smaller, more universal-sized model. In short, these Hublot references have definitely all it takes to become can’t-do-withouts in ladies’ and gents’ wardrobes.
