Pierre Arpels Heure d’ici & Heure d’ailleurs

Pierre Arpels belonged to the second generation of the Arpels dynasty and joined the famous brand on Place Vendôme in 1944. His creative talent and charming elegance made him stand out from the crowd. This same elegance tinged with simplicity and subtlety radiates from the 1949 collection named after the great man which was brought to market 4 years later. 2014 sees the launch of a piece conjuring images of travel and dreams: Heure d’ici & Heure d’ailleurs. It white lacquer dial adorned with a central piqué pattern has a double jumping hour counter (the reference time at 11 o’ clock and the second time zone at 5 o’ clock) and a retrograde minute hand which returns to its original position after 60 minutes to synchronise the two hour displays. These unique functions are brought to life by a self-winding movement developed with the famous Agenhor workshop enclosed in the 42mm white gold case. Price on request
