Van Cleef and Arpels love shooting through the stars to bring the heavens to us common mortals. The Lady Arpels Planétarium is the perfect Temps Poétique ® for ladies.

Van Cleef & Arpels will unveil a new timepiece for stargazing ladies at the next Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie in January 2018. Like to the men’s version, the Midnight Planétarium, the Lady Arpels Planétarium showcases the brand’s Temps Poétique® by making poetry out of the movement.

The 38mm diamond white gold case sees the planets dance above an aventurine dial featuring a rose gold sun, pink mother-of-pearl Mercury, green enamel Venus, turquoise Earth, diamond moon and a rhodium-plated gold shooting star. The Lady Arpels Planétarium houses a self-winding mechanical movement with a planetarium module designed exclusively by Van Cleef & Arpels and a 40-hour power reserve. The watch’s movement enables the planets to turn and each heavenly body moves in real time: Mercury takes 88 days to go round the dial, Venus takes 224 days and Earth takes 365 days whilst the moon goes around Earth in 29.5 days.

The shooting star poetically tells the time on the Lady Arpels Planétarium whilst two displays on the back present the day, month and year on the amazing miniature galaxy. Van Cleef & Arpels have treated us to two straps on this timepiece to suit your mood: sparkling blue alligator to match the dial and a diamond-covered strap. It’s a tough choice.
