FIFTYSIX DAY-DATE EXCLUSIVELY FOR MR PORTER
BOAST A COLLECTOR IN JUST A FEW CLICKS
The Geneva-based watchmaker has created a special series adorned with a particular dial color for one of the most reputed luxury e-commerce stores, subsidiary of the Richemont Group.
Since Mr Porter was launched back in 2011, it has made its mark on the web as the must-of-musts fashion site for guys. This portal, proposing deliveries to 180 countries, stands out with its high-performing customer services. Watchmaking brands, which are somewhat overcautious about using online commerce, were totally reassured and under Mr Porter’s charm. Vacheron Constantin even issued a 30-piece limited edition of its Fiftysix Day-Date exclusively for the retail site. The watch is set apart with its dial which takes on a highly-original petrol blue hue. Above this backdrop, we discover all the time data of the initial model, which perfectly contrast with the color chosen to ensure excellent readability. The hour chapter with its even numbers and indexes encircles two counters. The one set at 9 o’clock features the weekday, the other positioned symmetrically at 3 o’clock, proposes the date. A power reserve indicator at 6 o’clock states the remaining energy available.
The 40 mm-diameter steel case hosts the 2475 5C/2 caliber. This selfwinding movement, which delivers 40 hours’ autonomy to the watch, boasts a stop-seconds device to reset the time precisely. Incidentally, it can be admired through the sapphire-crystal caseback. In addition to the disc’s Côtes de Genève finishes, the lucky owner can also get a glance of the 22-carat gold openworked oscillating weight with its Maltese Cross, Vacheron Constantin’s emblem.
This timepiece, certified by the highly-demanding Hallmark of Geneva (Poinçon de Genève), is complemented by a brown calfskin strap attached by a folding clasp.
