RM 74-01 & RM 74-02
Similar in form and substance, these two watch creations embody the brand’s technical expertise and mastery of the latest generation of material.
This duo of exceptional timepieces showcases all of Richard Mille‘s expertise! Each watch has a casing of the same dimensions, 52.63 x 34.40 x 13.05 mm. However, both are crafted using material exclusive to the brand. The casing of the RM 74-01 combines a grade 5 titanium body with a grey ceramic-based Cermet bezel and case-back with enhanced resistance to corrosion and scratching. The RM 74-02 distinguishes itself by the omnipresence of TPT® Gold Carbon. The luster of the noble metal’s threads contrasts ideally with the patterns of the matte black composite to offer a random visual presentation.
These graphical displays and fully open architectures provide an opportunity to appreciate the advanced structure of their mechanisms. For these two models, the watchmaker from Les Breuleux similarly puts all its expertise at the service of time using two automatic in-house calibers equipped with a tourbillon located at 6 o’clock. CRMT6 drives the RM 74-01, and CRMT5 powers the RM 74-02. While their sophisticated skeletonization has similarities in the shape of the plate and bridges, these are nevertheless machined in different material, in one, an alloy of titanium, aluminum, and vanadium, in the other a combination of red and yellow gold. In both models, all the components are finished according to the rules of the watchmaker’s art.
Both of them also have chronometric precision. They are furthermore equipped with a variable geometry rotor that optimizes the winding process delivering at least 50 hours of power reserve.
