When I look at the dial of the new Terrascope, unveiled at 2015’s Baselworld, I see a deep, clear, sparkling ocean glittering in the sunlight. The ultramarine dial rimmed by suspended blue indices topped by luminescent rectangles reveals a lacquered and textured copper surface to create height and dazzling electric features like silicon or a meteorite. The steel model with a vertical satin finish and polished edges comes in two different sizes (39mm or 44mm) to suit both men and women. Both versions have the same self-winding JR60 calibre which brings to life the time (hours, minutes and seconds tracked by central blue-tone and phosphorescent hands on the dial) and date functions (date display at 3 o’ clock). The rebellious small seconds makes waves on the deep blue piece with its bright red tip. Price: 2’300CHF (39mm) – 2’600CHF (44mm)
